How to add text to a video in 4 steps
- Open your video. Drop your video into the editor and move the playhead to where the text should appear.
- Add and type. In the Text tab press + Add text and type. Press Enter for a second line.
- Style and place it. Pick a font and style (Outline, Shadow, Box or Neon), set the size and colour, and drag the text on the preview.
- Time and animate it. Set Show from and Until, choose In, Loop and Out animations, then export.

Yes. Add one text per phrase and time each to the speech. This creates burned-in captions, which are ideal for social media where videos autoplay muted.
Can I animate the text?
Yes. Each text has an In animation, an Out animation and an optional Loop effect. Press ▶ Preview to see them.
Can I add text to a photo?
Yes. Add the photo as a clip and add text in the same way. Use Snapshot to save a single frame as a PNG image.
Will the text look the same on every device?
Yes. Text is drawn into the video pictures, so it looks identical wherever the video is played.
Is there a watermark?
No. Exports never include a watermark.
