How to resize a video in 4 steps
- Open your video. Drop your video into the editor. It stays on your device.
- Choose a shape. In the Canvas tab pick 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or 4:3.
- Choose how it fits. Fit keeps the whole video and fills the space with a blurred copy or a solid colour. Fill crops the video to cover the frame.
- Reframe and export. With the Clip tab open, drag the picture on the preview to reposition a crop and scroll to zoom, then press Export video.

What size is best for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?
All three use a vertical 9:16 shape. Choose 9:16 in the Canvas tab.
How do I make a horizontal video vertical without cutting anything off?
Choose 9:16 and Fit with a Blur background. The whole video stays visible in the middle, with a blurred copy filling the top and bottom.
Can I crop instead of adding a background?
Yes — choose Fill. Then drag the picture on the preview in the Clip tab to choose which part of the video stays in frame.
What resolution does the resized video export at?
720p on the shorter side — for example 720 × 1280 for 9:16 or 1280 × 720 for 16:9 — which every major platform accepts.
Does it work on photos too?
Yes. Photos are fitted to the canvas in the same way and can be animated with zooms and pans.
